Got (Raw) Milk?

Organic Pastures is leading the movement for sustainable, organic, grass fed, and humane raw milk production and distribution. They have revolutionized the raw milk industry and are setting the safety and quality standards that should have been implemented years ago instead of the industry resorting to destroying milk via pasteurization in order to maintain the inhumane conditions that most cows are subjected to. 

Dara Torres and Resistance Stretching

If you don't already know, there is a revolutionary athlete going to Beijing for the 2008 Olympics. Her name is Dara Torres, and she is re-defining what is possible for a middle aged person to achieve. The fact that she is performing better today at 41 years of age than she was 25 years ago is what makes her so revolutionary. To put that to scale, the swimming goggles that Dara still wears today are older than most of her competitors!

My Story

I found out about the Meridian Flexibility System through a seemingly random conversation with a stranger in the Phoenix, Arizona airport. At the time, I was not interested in fitness, sports, or alternative medicine, nor had I ever been. The only steps I had taken to live a healthy lifestyle was by improving my diet, which I was forced into due to the ulcer I developed two years prior at 17 years of age.

Resisting In It

Sometimes, I like to freeze, and then consider how it is that I am positioned. I go to wherever my attention goes, whether it's the tension in my shoulders, a memory, an uplifting or depressing thought, or whatever it happens to be. Then, I start isometrically resisting in that moment.

So, right now, I'm sitting at my computer typing this blog.



I Love Upgrading

One of my favorite activities is to stretch myself, get stretched, and stretch others using a method called Resistance Stretching (Resistance Flexibility Training).

This type of stretching is different from traditional stretching in that instead of elongating the muscles and holding the stretch while trying to relax, this modality encourages the participant to elongate the muscles while continuously contracting them.
